High school community surveys report, 1928-1940.

Report derived from community surveys done by the pupils of several Wisconsin rural high schools conducted in cooperation with the Wisconsin Dept. of Public Instruction and the Dept. of Rural Sociology at the University of Wisconsin. The goal was to get students thinking about social studies through real life situations and direct involvement in their community. Bankert's report focuses on the towns of Cumberland, Barron, and Chetek (Barron County, Wis.), summarizing the data and addressing the successes and failures of the project.
